Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla well, then add the eggs one at a time. Gradually add the flour, previously sifted together with the baking powder. Finely chop the Amarena cherries and gently mix them into the batter. Pour the mixture into muffin molds and bake for about 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F).
While the muffins are baking, prepare the topping. Carefully beat the butter with the powdered sugar, add the Amarena syrup, then gradually add the cream cheese. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
Once the muffins have cooled, decorate with the topping, making sure to place a whole Amarena cherry on top and drizzle with a bit of Amarena syrup for extra flair!
